PANELCO-1 has scheduled a brownout for its entire coverage on Wednesday, 20 Aug 2008, from 8am-5pm.

Typhoon "KAREN" has maintained its strength and is now off the Eastern coast of Northern Cagayan. Centered 110 kms East of Aparri, Cagayan with maximum sustained winds of 140 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 170 kph.

In an effort to boost government’s campaign against criminality and to ensure public safety, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Ronaldo Puno yesterday directed governors and mayors nationwide to reorganize their barangay peace and order committees (BPOCs).
