MANILA, Philippines - President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has approved a United Nations (UN) agreement which seeks to ensure the rights and fundamental freedom of disabled persons.
Documents obtained by BusinessWorld show that the President ratified the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities on Feb. 28, or five months after the country acceded to the convention in September 2007.
